Job Purpose
This consultancy aims to support the design and implementation of initiatives for women's economic empowerment, with a specific focus on private sector engagement, the Women's Empowerment Principles (WEPs), and the HeForShe initiative. The role will contribute to identifying and developing strategic alliances and resource mobilization opportunities, including managing personalized partnerships with private sector actors. The consultant will also support the coordination and strengthening of the WEPs Community and the Financial Inclusion Alliance, facilitating articulation with various stakeholders and contributing to policy documents and knowledge products related to gender-responsive financial and economic policies.
Responsibilities
The consultant will provide technical and operational support for initiatives linked to the private sector strategy and the Financial Inclusion Alliance. Key responsibilities include supporting the review and strengthening of UN Women Bolivia's private sector strategy action plan and designing roadmaps for the Financial Inclusion Alliance working groups. The role involves developing content, tools, and documents to identify gaps and promote actions aligned with WEPs and gender-responsive financial inclusion, facilitating work sessions, and monitoring commitments. Additionally, the consultant will support the design and implementation of workshops and capacity-building activities for WEPs signatory companies, and provide operational and technical support in coordinating and articulating between alliance members, the private sector, and public institutions.
Work Experience
A minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience is required, with a focus on private sector engagement, gender equality, economic empowerment, or financial inclusion. Experience in project coordination, stakeholder engagement, and developing policy documents or knowledge products is highly desirable. Experience working with UN agencies or international organizations is an asset.
