Job Purpose
The Human Resources Associate provides essential administrative and logistical support for recruitment, placement, benefits administration, and other HR-related matters for staff and local external contractors within the UN Women Regional Office for Asia and the Pacific. This role ensures the smooth functioning of HR operations by managing HR transactions, supporting recruitment processes, assisting with performance management, and maintaining HR data. The associate plays a key role in implementing HR strategies and policies in compliance with UN Women regulations, contributing to an efficient and effective HR service delivery.
Responsibilities
Administer and implement HR strategies and policies in full compliance with UN Women rules and regulations. Provide general HR information and interpret processes for management and staff. Process, draft, and finalize HR correspondence, maintain files, and monitor deadlines. Coordinate contract extensions, national benefits, entitlements, and visa renewals. Input and track HR transactions in the Quantum system, including recruitment, benefits, and separations. Manage leave and records, and facilitate staff separation processes. Create and update vendor information in the Quantum system. Facilitate recruitment processes by drafting job descriptions, screening candidates, and preparing documentation for review. Provide administrative support for performance management and learning and development. Maintain confidential HR databases and generate reports. Organize training and facilitate knowledge sharing on HR administration.
Work Experience
Requires at least 6 years of progressively responsible experience in office administration or human resource management with secondary education, or 3 years with a Bachelor's degree. Experience in recruitment or contract management is desirable. Proficiency in computer and office software packages, including web-based management systems, is required. Experience with an ERP system like Oracle Cloud and in a non-profit organization is desirable.
