Job Purpose

Responsibilities
The role involves designing and developing program strategies in Peace, Security, Humanitarian Action, and Women's Leadership, including formulating project proposals and contributing to country strategy documents. It requires managing program implementation, developing annual work plans, ensuring quality interventions, and overseeing financial and narrative reporting to donors. Coordination with national partners, providing technical assistance, and building partner capacities are key. The position is responsible for monitoring project implementation, tracking key indicators, and ensuring timely reporting. Financial resource management, including budget oversight and financial reporting, is essential. Additionally, the role involves supervising program staff, building partnerships, supporting resource mobilization strategies, and facilitating knowledge management and program visibility through advocacy, events, and studies.
Work Experience
A minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible experience at the national or international level in managing complex, multi-component program interventions with national partners, preferably related to Peace, Security, Humanitarian Action, and Leadership. Experience in program coordination, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation is essential. Proven expertise in gender-sensitive prevention of violent extremism and resource mobilization is required. Prior UN system experience is an asset.

Strong program formulation, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation skills. Solid budget and finance skills. Knowledge of results-based management. Ability to synthesize program performance data and produce analytical reports. Strong analytical skills. Good knowledge of UN program management systems. Fluency in French and English is required.
