Job Purpose
This consultancy aims to document and disseminate the impact of the Youth Promotion Initiative (YPI) project in Liberia. The consultant will capture transformative stories of change and develop compelling, youth-friendly multimedia content to highlight project results, amplify youth voices, and support national advocacy, particularly for the National Youth Policy. The role is crucial for strengthening youth engagement, policy awareness, and national visibility of youth-led peacebuilding and digital civic engagement initiatives.
Responsibilities
The consultant will lead the documentation of impact stories and lessons learned from the YPI project, conducting field visits and collecting qualitative data. Responsibilities include developing at least 10-15 high-quality written impact stories focusing on youth leadership, digital participation, and peacebuilding. The consultant will produce 6-10 short video clips and one high-quality documentary, overseeing all production stages. Additionally, they will develop youth-friendly digital advocacy materials such as social media toolkits, infographics, flyers, and audio jingles for the National Youth Policy dissemination. The role also involves co-creating content with youth groups, providing basic orientation on digital advocacy, and submitting regular progress reports and a final consultancy report with all deliverables.
Work Experience
Requires a minimum of 5 years of demonstrated experience in multimedia production, storytelling, and development communications, with a focus on working with youth-led and women-led organizations. Proven experience in producing documentaries, short films, and digital advocacy content is essential. A strong understanding of gender equality, peacebuilding, and civic participation is necessary. Experience in graphic design, digital media tools, and social media strategy is highly desirable.
