Job Purpose
The Chief, Talent Management, Leadership Development and Organizational Design, plays a pivotal role in shaping and directing UN Women’s strategic talent management agenda. This position is responsible for institutionalizing workforce planning and talent analytics capabilities, and providing authoritative leadership on organizational designs and change management. The role involves close collaboration with various HR units and business units to ensure the successful implementation of development programs, strategic workforce planning, and effective organizational designs. The purpose is to enhance organizational effectiveness and cultivate a high-performing, inclusive culture that advances gender equality worldwide.
Responsibilities
The Chief, Talent Management, Leadership Development and Organizational Design, is responsible for directing the design and implementation of integrated talent management programs aligned with UN Women's workforce strategies. This includes shaping HR policies and practices to embed effective talent management across the organization. The role involves establishing and institutionalizing talent analytics and workforce planning models, providing workforce intelligence for strategic decision-making. Additionally, the incumbent will direct the performance management process to drive organizational gains through people development, transforming it towards a future-oriented model focused on continuous growth and feedback. Responsibilities also include overseeing coaching, mentoring, and career enhancement opportunities, establishing career advisory services, and directing a comprehensive strategic approach to learning and professional development, including needs assessment and prioritization. The role also encompasses shaping and institutionalizing leadership development, including defining a shared leadership model, cultivating strategic partnerships, and building the leadership pipeline through succession planning.
Work Experience
A minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible experience in Human Resources or Workforce Management is required, with specific experience in Talent Management and OD/change interventions. Experience leading and managing personnel in international settings and proficiency with office software and analytical tools are also required. Experience in enhancing performance management systems and workforce planning is desirable, as is experience with ERP systems like Oracle Cloud.
