Organizational Context
The UN Secretariat's Resident Coordinator System in Costa Rica is seeking support for its Economist and Monitoring, Evaluation, and Results Officers. This role will strengthen analysis, information management, monitoring, and coordination processes for the new Cooperation Framework, ensuring updated information for decision-making and proper documentation of interagency coordination.
Job Purpose
This role aims to provide crucial support to the Economist and Monitoring, Evaluation, and Results Officers within the Resident Coordinator's Office in Costa Rica. The primary objective is to enhance the analysis, information management, monitoring, and coordination processes essential for developing the new Cooperation Framework. By contributing technical inputs, maintaining updated data, and ensuring proper documentation of consultations and interagency dialogues, this position will directly support informed decision-making, track results effectively, and facilitate the successful design and advancement of the Cooperation Framework. The role is instrumental in ensuring the smooth operation and strategic progress of the office's key initiatives.
Responsibilities
Support the logistical and technical organization of workshops, meetings, and events, including agenda preparation, participant lists, materials, minutes, and agreement systematization. Collaborate in collecting, cleaning, organizing, and updating databases for Cooperation Framework monitoring, SDG indicators, and strategic economic analysis. Assist in creating charts, graphs, visualizations, and presentations for technical reports, interagency forums, and national counterpart meetings. Contribute to systematizing inputs from consultations, workshops, and technical meetings, ensuring proper documentation and traceability. Support the drafting and editing of reports, technical notes, tracking matrices, and strategic presentations according to UN standards. Provide support in updating repositories, monitoring tools, results matrices, and tracking dashboards. Accompany work trips and meetings with strategic partners as needed, assisting with technical preparation and documentation. Perform other assigned technical and operational functions aligned with office priorities.
