Organizational Context

The United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) seeks a consultant for the AI Track of the Women's International Forum (WIF). This role supports private-sector and multi-stakeholder engagement, contributing to the preparation and delivery of the AI Track's objectives and post-event follow-up activities.

Job Purpose

The consultant will be responsible for identifying and onboarding relevant entities for the AI Track of the Women's International Forum (WIF) and supporting its successful delivery, including post-event activities. This involves facilitating private-sector and multi-stakeholder engagement, conducting due diligence, managing invitations, and coordinating event logistics. The role also entails liaising with partners, maintaining engagement records, and supporting administrative tasks to ensure the smooth preparation and execution of the AI Track and related meetings. The consultant will play a key role in advancing the outcomes and deliverables of the AI Track through continued partner engagement and the implementation of joint initiatives.

Responsibilities

Support private-sector and multi-stakeholder engagement for the AI Track of the WIF, including conducting due diligence and risk screening of entities. Facilitate the invitation process for speakers and participants, and manage associated event duties for track preparation. Coordinate stakeholder engagement and event management workflows, liaising with private-sector representatives and multi-stakeholder entities. Maintain engagement records and assist with partner communications. Provide administrative support for the AI Track and related meetings. Offer targeted support throughout the preparation, implementation, and follow-up phases of the AI Track, assisting with stakeholder engagements during and after the event. Perform other event management and coordination tasks as required. Support the implementation of post-event deliverables and follow-up activities, including agreed actions with partner organizations like ITU, and facilitate continued engagement with partners to advance AI Track outcomes.

Work Experience

A minimum of 7 years of relevant professional experience is required. This includes experience in private-sector engagement, institutional risk management, due diligence, compliance, or integrity frameworks. Experience in designing, assessing, or strengthening such processes within international organizations, multilateral institutions, financial institutions, or comparable settings is also necessary.
