Organizational Context

The United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) is the leading global environmental authority, coordinating environmental policy and promoting sustainable development. As an Implementing Agency of the Multilateral Fund of the Montreal Protocol, UNEP's OzonAction Branch supports developing countries in meeting treaty obligations. This role supports Chile's National Ozone Unit (NOU) in managing HPMP Stage III and KIP Stage I.

Job Purpose

This consultancy aims to develop audiovisual materials to support public awareness campaigns for Chile's National Ozone Unit (NOU). The consultant will produce two 5-minute videos and seventeen 1-minute social media videos focusing on activities related to HPMP-III and KIP-I. The role contributes to enhancing the capacities of the NOU and the National Customs Service in Chile for controlling HCFC and HFC substances, aligning with national legal frameworks and UNEP's OzonAction Clearinghouse mandate. The work supports the reduction and control of these substances through effective media content and dissemination.

Responsibilities

The consultant will be responsible for the end-to-end production of audiovisual materials under the supervision of Chile's National Ozone Unit and UNEP. Key duties include conceptualization, script writing, storyboarding, filming, rough editing, voiceover recording, and final editing and rendering. This involves managing multiple review rounds and ensuring final products meet quality standards for capacity-building and dissemination. The consultant will also organize and develop the video production schedule. The role requires close coordination with the UNEP OzonAction Team and the NOU's Communications Officer to ensure alignment with campaign objectives and dissemination strategies for HPMP-III and KIP-I activities.

Work Experience

Four years of professional experience in using professional digital video recording equipment, managing photography and lighting for audio-visual productions, and proficiency in editing and post-production software are required. Experience with supplementary video recording equipment and related software is also necessary. The ability to handle high workloads and meet short production deadlines is highly desirable.
