Job Purpose

This internship supports the Justice and Corrections Service (JCS) by enhancing its strategic communication and public outreach efforts. The role involves creating and disseminating content to raise awareness and understanding of rule of law, security institutions, justice, and corrections issues within peacekeeping contexts. The intern will contribute to developing multimedia products, drafting publications, and managing social media content, ultimately aiding JCS in its mission to strengthen criminal justice systems and promote rule of law reforms globally. The position offers flexibility in work arrangements, including hybrid, remote, or in-person options.

Responsibilities

The intern will assist the Justice and Corrections Service (JCS) with strategic communication and public outreach initiatives focused on rule of law, security institutions, justice, and corrections in peacekeeping. Key duties include developing and designing communications and multimedia products for web and social media platforms. The role involves creating content for JCS stories to increase awareness of justice and corrections issues, and assisting with drafting and editing JCS publications such as fact sheets, brochures, and newsletters. Additionally, the intern will conceptualize and create data visualizations and interactive content, research and compile information for social media, and monitor social media statistics and web analytics.

Work Experience

Candidates must meet specific academic enrollment or completion criteria, such as being in the final year of a bachelor's degree or having completed a graduate program.
