Organizational Context
The United Nations Office at Geneva (UNOG) hosts the Management and Communication Unit (M&C) within the Centre for Learning and Multilingualism (CLM). M&C enhances team effectiveness and fosters a productive work environment by offering courses in leadership, management, and technical programs in English and French. This internship is situated within this dynamic unit.
Job Purpose
This internship aims to support the Management and Communication Unit (M&C) at the United Nations Office at Geneva (UNOG) in its mission to improve team effectiveness and promote a harmonious work environment. The intern will contribute to the development, implementation, and evaluation of training programs, assist participants in online and in-person courses, and provide logistical support. Additionally, the role involves creating and disseminating internal marketing materials for CLM courses and activities, updating communication channels, and supporting the redesign of promotional videos. This position offers a valuable opportunity to gain practical experience in training coordination, content creation, and internal communications within an international organization.
Responsibilities
The intern will actively participate in developing, implementing, and evaluating training and learning programs focused on areas like career development, diversity, equity, inclusion, management, and leadership. Responsibilities include supporting participants in online and in-person courses by managing logistics, maintaining communication, and updating learning platforms. The role also involves gathering feedback, editing surveys, and analyzing responses to enhance program effectiveness. Logistical assistance will be provided to program managers for daily operations of learning activities. Furthermore, the intern will create and publish internal marketing materials, such as newsletters and activity calendars, and collaborate with departments to update communication channels and the CLM website. Support will also be given to redesigning promotional videos to showcase CLM's vision and initiatives.
Work Experience
Professional work experience is not required for this UN Internship Programme. However, a field of study closely related to the internship is essential. Experience with standard software applications (MS Word, PowerPoint, Teams) is required. Desirable experience includes the use of learning management systems (LMS) and design tools such as Canva, Genially, or Rise 360.

Training program development, implementation, and evaluation; participant support; logistical coordination; content creation; internal marketing and communication; survey analysis; website content management; video promotion support; proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Teams); knowledge of LMS and design tools is desirable; fluency in English; knowledge of French is an advantage.
