Communications and events are integral to UNEP FI's mission, raising awareness and supporting the adoption of sustainable finance globally.

Job Purpose

This internship supports the UNEP Finance Initiative (UNEP FI) Communications and Events teams. The role is crucial for enhancing UNEP FI's outreach and engagement by assisting in the creation and dissemination of communication materials across various platforms. The intern will contribute to raising awareness about sustainable finance, promoting the work of financial institutions, and supporting UNEP FI's objectives in aligning the financial industry with the Paris Agreement and Sustainable Development Goals. This position offers a valuable opportunity to gain practical experience in environmental communications and event coordination within a leading international organization.

Responsibilities

Assist in writing, editing, and designing communication content, including newsletters, social media posts, event announcements, and web content. Manage day-to-day updates and content development for the UNEP FI website. Monitor and analyze web and social media performance, presenting findings and actionable insights. Support social media outreach and develop proposals for social media campaigns. Coordinate communications for virtual events and webinars. Assist with tracking media coverage of UNEP FI's activities, alliances, and initiatives. Provide day-to-day coordination support for events, particularly the UNEP FI Regional Roundtables.

Work Experience

No professional work experience is required for this internship. However, relevant experience gained through internships or extracurricular activities in communications is considered ideal. A field of study closely related to the internship's focus is necessary.
