Job Purpose
This role supports the design, development, and facilitation of vocational training programs, specifically in AC Refrigeration, at UNRWA's training centers. The instructor will be responsible for curriculum development, including occupational analyses, learning materials, and integrating new technologies. A key aspect is facilitating both school-based and work-based learning, employing adult learning strategies, and ensuring inclusive practices for trainees with disabilities. The position also involves assessing student learning, maintaining linkages with employers, applying quality assurance frameworks, and supporting green and digital initiatives within the training programs. Collaboration with colleagues and maintaining a disciplined learning environment are also essential functions of this role.
Responsibilities
Develop and refine learning programs and curricula, including conducting occupational analyses, drafting learning materials, and integrating emerging technologies and career guidance. Facilitate school-based and work-based learning by preparing venues, utilizing equipment, selecting trainees, and developing inclusive lesson plans. Employ adult learning strategies, accommodate diverse learning needs, and mainstream Occupational Health and Safety (OSH) and core skills. Prepare and conduct formative and summative assessments, including practice-based and knowledge-based tests, developing appropriate assessment tools. Maintain employer and industry linkages, utilize labor market information, and analyze skills needs to address gaps. Apply quality assurance processes according to the UNRWA TVET Quality Assurance Framework. Support green and digital TVET initiatives by integrating relevant skills and facilitating digital learning sessions. Collaborate with staff to coordinate teaching, maintain a respectful environment, and implement co-curricular activities, ensuring OSH measures are in place.
Work Experience
This is an entry-level position (Grade 09) for a VT Instructor (AC Refrigerator), therefore no prior work experience is required.
