Organizational Context

This role reports to the Senior TVET Instructor or Deputy Principal.

Job Purpose

This role supports the design, development, and delivery of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) programs in Civil Engineering. The instructor is responsible for curriculum development, including occupational analyses, learning guides, and integrating new technologies. They will facilitate both school-based and work-based learning, employing adult learning strategies and ensuring inclusivity for trainees with disabilities. The position involves designing and conducting formative and summative assessments, building linkages with employers, and utilizing labor market information to identify skills gaps. A key aspect is applying quality assurance frameworks, supporting green and digital TVET initiatives, and fostering collaboration among staff while maintaining a disciplined and respectful learning environment. The role also includes implementing and reporting on Occupational Health and Safety (OSH) measures.

Responsibilities

Develop and support learning programs and curricula, including occupational analyses, program profiles, learning guides, and manuals. Integrate new technologies and career guidance into specializations. Facilitate school-based and work-based learning by preparing venues, utilizing facilities, selecting trainees, and developing inclusive lesson plans. Manage learning in classrooms, labs, and workshops, applying adult learning strategies and mainstreaming OSH and core skills. Design and conduct formative and summative assessments, including skills tests and OSH assessments. Build linkages with employers and industry professionals, utilizing labor market information to address skills gaps. Apply UNRWA's TVET Quality Assurance Framework. Support and implement green and digital TVET initiatives, integrating relevant skills into training. Collaborate with colleagues to coordinate teaching, maintain a positive environment, and implement co-curricular activities. Support OSH measures and report incidents.
