Job Purpose
This role is integral to the recruitment process for Area staff and other personnel within UNRWA's West Bank Field Office. The incumbent will participate in interview boards, manage 'daily paid workers' rosters, and screen applications against established criteria. Key responsibilities include preparing and reviewing vacancy advertisements, coordinating technical tests and interviews, and ensuring timely communication with candidates. The position also involves assisting the supervisor in coordinating recruitment plans with hiring managers, maintaining recruitment reports and rosters, and preparing statistical analyses. The purpose is to ensure efficient and compliant recruitment operations, contributing to UNRWA's mission of supporting Palestine refugees by staffing its essential services with qualified personnel.
Responsibilities
Participate in the recruitment process for Area staff and other personnel, including serving on interview boards and maintaining 'daily paid workers' rosters. Screen applications against established criteria, identifying and escalating discrepancies to supervisors. Prepare and review vacancy advertisements, ensuring compliance with post descriptions and producing effective recruitment materials. Coordinate the preparation and administration of technical tests and interviews, ensuring candidates are informed of schedules. Assist the supervisor in coordinating recruitment plans with hiring managers, ensuring adherence to timelines and overall recruitment strategy. Prepare and update recruitment reports, maintain relevant rosters, and conduct statistical analysis. Communicate with applicants and candidates, respond to queries, and arrange appointments for interviews and tests. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Work Experience
A minimum of three years of experience in human resources management within an international, governmental, or commercial organization is required. This includes at least one year of experience at a supervisory level, preferably in recruitment. Experience living or residing in West Bank or Jerusalem, and holding a relevant ID, is desirable.
