Job Purpose
This internship aims to support the UNFF Secretariat's efforts in forest financing. The intern will be responsible for identifying, collecting, and analyzing information related to forest financing opportunities, learning materials, and best practices. This data will be used to update the UNFF Clearing House on Forest Financing website, enhancing its utility for developing countries and economies in transition. The role also involves assisting with other secretariat activities, particularly those concerning forest financing, and reporting to the Programme Management Officer overseeing the Clearing House.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include conducting desk research to gather information on international forest financing opportunities, learning materials, and good practices, with a focus on developing countries. The intern will organize and update information on the UNFF and Clearing House websites, and prepare written content for these platforms. Research will also be conducted on global data repositories to identify best practices for the Clearing House's design. The intern will synthesize information on forest financing topics for website publication and assist in maintaining the Clearing House website, potentially using Drupal. Additional duties as assigned are also part of the role.
