Job Purpose
This internship within the Talent Acquisition Unit at UNON provides an opportunity to gain practical experience in human resources support. The intern will assist with data analysis, reporting, and record-keeping for recruitment processes. This role contributes to the efficient functioning of the HRMS by ensuring accurate documentation, data integrity, and compliance with organizational policies. The internship aims to develop the intern's skills in data management, reporting, and administrative support within a UN context, preparing them for future roles in human resources or related fields.
Responsibilities
Assist with data analysis, reporting, and record-keeping for the Talent Acquisition Unit. Generate, digitize, and maintain recruitment documentation for staff and non-staff. Collect, clean, and transform data from various sources, ensuring accuracy. Create data visualizations such as charts and graphs. Support recruitment activities by preparing memos and following up on contracts. Review non-staff files and records for retention or disposal according to policy. Collaborate with the Records Management Team to ensure compliance. Prepare reports on the review process and suggest process improvements. Document workflows and propose enhancements for efficiency. Assist in the design and improvement of archives and records keeping for team documents. Undertake tasks related to the creation, organization, indexing, storage, retention, and disposal of records.
Work Experience
No professional work experience is required for this internship. However, applicants must be students in the final year of a first university degree (or equivalent), pursuing a Master's or PhD program, or have completed such a program. A field of study closely related to the internship is required.
