Organizational Context

This role reports to the Senior TVET Instructor or Deputy Principal of a Training Centre.

Job Purpose

This role supports the design, development, and delivery of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) programs in Electronics Engineering. The instructor will be responsible for curriculum development, including occupational analyses, learning materials, and integrating new technologies. They will facilitate both school-based and work-based learning, employing adult learning strategies and ensuring inclusivity for trainees with disabilities. A key aspect involves designing and conducting formative and summative assessments, building linkages with employers, and utilizing labor market information to identify skills gaps. The position also supports UNRWA's greening and digitalization initiatives within TVET, fostering collaboration among staff and maintaining a positive learning environment while adhering to safety standards.

Responsibilities

Develop and refine learning programs and curricula, including conducting competency analyses, drafting materials, and integrating emerging technologies and career guidance. Facilitate school-based and work-based learning by preparing training venues, managing facilities, selecting trainees, and developing inclusive lesson plans. Employ adult learning strategies, integrate trainees with special needs, and mainstream Occupational Health and Safety (OSH) and core skills. Design and administer formative and summative assessments, including practice-based and knowledge-based tests, and develop inclusive assessment plans. Build relationships with employers and industry professionals, collect labor market information, and analyze skills needs. Apply quality assurance processes according to the UNRWA TVET Quality Assurance Framework. Support and implement green and digital TVET initiatives, integrating relevant skills into courses. Collaborate with colleagues to coordinate teaching, maintain a respectful environment, and implement co-curricular activities, ensuring OSH measures are in place.
