ASP.net Developer (HQA-LOCAL)
Organizational Context
The UNRWA Information Management - Headquarters Amman department seeks an ASP.NET Developer for a 7-month consultancy. This role supports the implementation and delivery of the FMIS project, involving business requirements, solution design, stakeholder coordination, testing, and deployment. The position is based in Amman but open to remote consultancy within UNRWA fields of operation.
Job Purpose
The ASP.NET Developer will play a crucial role in supporting the successful implementation and delivery of the FMIS project. This involves building and maintaining application modules, developing backend services and integrations, and providing daily technical support. The role contributes to enhancing organizational systems by ensuring high-quality documentation, robust solution design, effective coordination with stakeholders, and successful project deployment. The developer will also be responsible for bug fixing, performance optimization, code reviews, and preparing technical documentation, ultimately ensuring the application's security, performance, and compliance with UNRWA standards.
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain FMIS application modules using ASP.NET/.NET Core and related Microsoft technologies, including organizational hierarchy, premises management, projects management, dashboards, reporting, and GIS modules. Create backend services, APIs, and integrations with internal and external systems. Provide daily technical support, analyze business and system requirements, and conduct bug fixing, troubleshooting, optimization, and quality assurance. Review code to ensure application security, performance, and compliance with UNRWA standards. Support deployment, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), production releases, and post-go-live stabilization. Prepare technical documentation, deployment guides, and user manuals. Deliver regular progress updates and backlog tracking reports. Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and collaborate with project stakeholders throughout the implementation lifecycle.
Work Experience
Requires a minimum of 4 years of experience in web application development using ASP.NET/.NET Core and MS SQL Server. Experience in enterprise application development, implementation, and developing APIs and integrations is essential. Familiarity with deployment environments and DevOps practices is desirable, and experience with GIS integrations and dashboards is an asset.
