Job Purpose
The Delivery Specialist will maximize the efficiency of IMEO's science teams by overseeing tasks, identifying bottlenecks, and collaborating with stakeholders to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality methane data products. This involves facilitating the transition of data products from concept through analysis to finalized scientific outputs. The role requires establishing coordination mechanisms within and across science project teams to ensure efficient workflows, clear ownership, and timely sharing of methane insights with diverse external stakeholders, including national authorities and experts, contributing to the achievement of the Paris Agreement goals.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include generating and maintaining an overview of tasks and responsibilities for IMEO's science teams, and reporting on progress across multiple workstreams. The role involves managing and maintaining the operational backlog of scientific development, and establishing coordination mechanisms to ensure efficient workflows and clear ownership. Identifying and proactively addressing bottlenecks, risks, and dependencies is crucial. The Delivery Specialist will also be responsible for improving processes, introducing lightweight structures where needed, and summarizing project status information for donor reporting and work plan development. This includes ensuring methane insights are shared promptly with external stakeholders.
Work Experience
Experience is required in delivery management, project management, or similar coordination roles. Candidates should possess strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple parallel workstreams and experience working across technical and non-technical teams. Familiarity with agile or hybrid delivery environments and backlog management tools is also expected.
