Visualization Consultant for Jordan’s Voluntary National Review

Organizational Context

The UN Secretariat's Resident Coordinator System (RCS) supports the Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation (MoPIC) in Jordan. This role is part of the effort to finalize Jordan's Voluntary National Review (VNR) for 2026, building on previous submissions and the country's commitment to the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

Job Purpose

The purpose of this consultancy is to support the Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation (MoPIC) in designing Jordan's Third Voluntary National Review (VNR 2026). This involves creating the final report and related communication materials in Arabic. The consultant will be responsible for the overall visual layout and structure of the 160-page VNR report and a 40-page presentation, ensuring consistency with the English version and MoPIC's guidelines. The role contributes to effectively communicating complex data and information related to Jordan's sustainable development progress.

Responsibilities

The consultant will design the overall visual layout and structure of the VNR report in Arabic, ensuring consistency with the English version and MoPIC's guidelines. Key duties include developing visual assets such as infographics, charts, graphs, and maps to effectively communicate complex data. The consultant must submit drafts for approval by the RCO and MoPIC teams, incorporating feedback into final designs. Additionally, maintaining and organizing all design files, including visuals, templates, and assets, is crucial for future accessibility and reference. The final deliverables include a 160-page designed VNR report and a 40-page presentation, both in Arabic.

Work Experience

At least 10 years of experience in graphic design and data visualization is required. Proficiency in Adobe software (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is essential. Previous experience with government institutions or international organizations is desirable.

Skills

Graphic design, Data visualization, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), understanding of 2030 Agenda and SDGs, VNR preparation process familiarity, Arabic language fluency.
