Job Purpose
This role supports the design, development, and delivery of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) programs in Information Technology. The instructor is responsible for curriculum development, including occupational analyses, learning materials, and integrating new technologies. They will facilitate both school-based and work-based learning, employing adult learning strategies and ensuring inclusivity for trainees with disabilities. The position involves designing and conducting formative and summative assessments, building linkages with employers, and applying quality assurance frameworks. Additionally, the role supports TVET greening and digitalization initiatives, collaborates with colleagues, and maintains a positive learning environment while adhering to safety standards.
Responsibilities
Develop and refine learning programs and curricula, including occupational analyses, learning guides, and manuals, while assessing and integrating emerging technologies. Facilitate school-based and work-based learning by preparing training venues, utilizing facilities, developing inclusive lesson plans, and managing learning environments. Employ adult learning strategies, integrating trainees with special needs and mainstreaming Occupational Health and Safety (OSH) and core skills. Design and conduct formative and summative assessments, including practice-based and knowledge-based tests, developing assessment tools and plans. Build employer and industry linkages, utilizing labor market information to identify and address skills gaps. Apply UNRWA's TVET Quality Assurance Framework and support greening and digitalization initiatives by designing and delivering relevant programs and sessions. Collaborate with staff to coordinate teaching, maintain a respectful environment, and implement OSH measures.
