Job Purpose
This role serves as the Head of the Health Centre, responsible for providing comprehensive outpatient services, including maternal and child health, non-communicable disease management, and hospital referrals. The incumbent performs medical examinations for various purposes, such as special hardship assistance, staff recruitment, and periodic health checks. A key function is the management of the health centre, encompassing service organization, personnel supervision, supply chain management, and reporting. The position also involves supervising and evaluating the performance of medical, nursing, and para-medical staff, fostering relationships with the local community and authorities, and ensuring the availability and quality of medicines and medical supplies. The role contributes to the overall health and well-being of Palestine refugees.
Responsibilities
The Head Health Centre is responsible for delivering general outpatient and specialized health services, including maternal and child health and non-communicable disease management. This includes conducting medical examinations for hardship assistance, new staff, periodic checks, and participating in medical boards. The role involves managing the health centre's operations, including service organization, personnel supervision, supply management, and reporting. A significant duty is supervising and evaluating the performance of medical, nursing, and para-medical staff. The incumbent will also maintain relationships with local communities and authorities, ensure the availability and quality of medicines and medical supplies, and oversee their ordering and destruction of expired items. Participation in staff training and performing other assigned duties are also key responsibilities.
Work Experience
A minimum of five years of progressively responsible and relevant professional working experience is required. Experience in managing health services and supervising staff is essential. Residency in or proximity to the West Bank or Jerusalem, with a valid ID, is desirable.
