Job Purpose

Responsibilities
The intern will monitor and analyze political, socio-economic, and humanitarian developments in the Middle East region. Key duties include conducting research on policy issues related to peace, security, and development. The intern will assist in drafting notes, background papers, talking points, and speeches for leadership. Responsibilities also involve participating in working groups, meetings, and consultations with UN entities, taking meeting minutes, and providing support for meetings convened by the Middle East Division. Additionally, the intern may support Special Political Missions and UNCTs in non-mission settings within the region, performing other related duties as assigned.
