This role supports UNEP FI's engagement with financial institutions at COP31 and contributes to its programme objectives under the Investor Agenda.
Job Purpose
This consultancy role aims to coordinate and support the planning, delivery, monitoring, and communication of activities for UNEP FI, specifically focusing on COP31 engagement and the Investor Agenda. The consultant will facilitate engagement with a broad range of financial institutions, contribute to key investor climate action guidance and reporting initiatives, and support policy-related work. The position is crucial for aligning the financial industry with the Paris Agreement and Sustainable Development Goals, ensuring effective communication between UNEP FI, Investor Agenda partners, members, and external stakeholders, and contributing to UNEP FI's overall mission of promoting sustainable finance.
Responsibilities
Organize and manage UNEP FI's activities related to COP31 on behalf of the Climate Team. Support UNEP FI's contributions to the ICAPs Expectations and Guidance or equivalent resources, ensuring alignment with UNEP and UN-convened net-zero alliances. Contribute to the 2027 Global State of Investor Climate Action report. Provide support for policy work concerning the Investor Agenda. Facilitate effective communication between the UNEP FI Secretariat, the six Investor Agenda network partners, UNEP FI membership, and the general public. Deliverables include COP31 event coordination, updates to guidance resources, input and review for the investor climate action report, and materials for an annual event on investor transition plans and disclosure.
Work Experience
A minimum of seven (7) years of professional experience in programme management, climate change, or economics is required. Experience in running climate programmes and prior engagement with COP31 processes are considered assets. Project management training and experience are also beneficial.

Skill in juggling multiple tasks across diverse projects in an organized and timely manner. Attention to detail. Project management expertise. Experience in running climate programmes.
