Job Purpose
This role is crucial for supporting the design, development, and delivery of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) programs, specifically in Engineering Drawing. The incumbent will contribute to curriculum development, including occupational analyses and the integration of new technologies. A key aspect is facilitating inclusive learning experiences, employing adult learning strategies, and ensuring the mainstreaming of Occupational Health and Safety (OSH) and core skills. The position also involves designing and conducting assessments, building linkages with employers to understand labor market needs, and applying quality assurance frameworks. Furthermore, the role supports TVET greening and digitalization initiatives, fostering collaboration among staff and maintaining a positive learning environment.
Responsibilities
The TVET Instructor will support the design and development of learning programs and curricula, including conducting competency analyses, drafting learning materials, and integrating new technologies and career guidance. They will facilitate school-based and work-based learning, preparing training venues, managing facilities, and developing inclusive lesson plans. This includes employing adult learning strategies and integrating trainees with disabilities and special needs, while mainstreaming Occupational Health and Safety (OSH) and core skills. The role involves designing and conducting formative and summative assessments, developing assessment tools, and implementing inclusive skills assessments. Building linkages with employers and utilizing labor market information to identify skills gaps is essential. The instructor will apply quality assurance processes, support greening and digitalization initiatives, and collaborate with colleagues to coordinate teaching, maintain discipline, and implement OSH measures.
