Job Purpose
The Associate Programme Officer, under direct supervision, will support the development, implementation, and evaluation of assigned programmes and projects within the Women and Trade programme. This role involves monitoring project progress, conducting research on market access for women entrepreneurs, and providing substantive support for coordination and evaluation functions. The officer will assist in consulting assignments, contribute to written outputs and publications, and support meetings and outreach activities. Key contributions include facilitating workshops, developing action plans, and coordinating budget-related activities to enhance women's market access and competitiveness.
Responsibilities
Assists in the development, implementation, and evaluation of programmes and projects, monitoring progress and liaising with stakeholders. Conducts research on market access, collecting and analyzing data. Provides support for coordination and evaluation, analyzing project-oriented issues. Assists in consulting assignments, including workshop facilitation and action plan development. Contributes to written outputs such as background papers, reports, and publications on women's market access. Supports consultative meetings and conferences logistically and substantively. Undertakes outreach activities, including participation in and presentation at workshops. Participates in field missions for data collection and support. Coordinates budget funding activities and prepares related reports.
Work Experience
A minimum of two years of experience in project/programme management or administration is required. Desirable experience includes organizing international women-focused market access activities, collaborating with business support organizations and private sector partners, and managing importer relationships for B2B matchmaking.
