Responsibilities
The intern will support the UNODA Front Office by contributing to background documents, talking points, speeches, summaries, and memoranda. Key duties include researching and analyzing open-source information on disarmament, arms control, and non-proliferation, and relevant UN processes. The intern will assist in preparing for Advisory Board on Disarmament Matters meetings, including compiling materials and coordinating speakers. Additionally, the role involves supporting the implementation of UNODA-wide policies, such as its Strategic Plan and gender/inclusion initiatives, and contributing to communications outputs on these topics. The intern will also help develop and distribute internal staff engagement channels like newsletters.
