Job Purpose
The Project Adviser will support the implementation, monitoring, and reporting of the BOOST project in Lao PDR. This involves organizing and providing technical and logistical support for project activities such as training programs and workshops, ensuring needs-driven interventions and gender mainstreaming. The role requires maintaining the project workplan, coordinating communication among stakeholders, and advising on synergies between activities and outputs. A key aspect is leading the monitoring and analysis of project activities, preparing progress updates for ITC HQ and stakeholders, and contributing to the collection and analysis of data for reporting and learning. The position is based in Vientiane, Lao PDR, with potential travel within the region.
Responsibilities
Organize and deliver project activities, including training programs and workshops, ensuring relevant participant identification and quality assurance. Provide technical and logistical support for activity rollout, capacity building, and gender mainstreaming. Maintain and develop annual project workplans in collaboration with the project team and counterparts. Offer on-the-ground support and technical guidance to partners and beneficiaries, coordinating stakeholder communication. Advise on synergies across project activities and stakeholders, promoting joint planning and information sharing. Lead result monitoring and analysis, preparing progress reports and updates for ITC HQ and stakeholders. Conduct data collection using various methods to support reporting, lessons learned, and evaluations. Support project monitoring missions and evaluations. Prepare impact stories and materials showcasing project results. Contribute to risk identification and mitigation strategies for project implementation.
Work Experience
A minimum of seven years of experience in result-based project/programme management, monitoring, evaluation, or administration is required. Experience in Lao PDR, trade-related technical assistance, and business support is also required. Experience working with the Government of Lao PDR and implementing EU projects is desirable.
