Job Purpose
This internship aims to support the UN-Habitat's Quality of Life Program by assisting with data management and quality assurance for the Global Quality of Life Index. The role will contribute to enhancing technical capacity for data utilization, understanding urban quality of life trends, and supporting local and national governments in reporting. The intern will work remotely, focusing on data cleaning, processing, and ensuring the accuracy and reliability of data used for decision-making and policy formulation, thereby supporting sustainable urban development initiatives across the Arab region.
Responsibilities
The Data Support Intern will be responsible for supporting data management and processing activities, including data cleaning, organization, review, and basic validation for the Quality of Life Index. This involves assisting with data entry, maintaining datasets and documentation, and identifying data quality issues. Additionally, the intern will support survey review and localization processes by checking survey forms for consistency and completeness, performing quality checks on multilingual materials, and assisting with survey-related follow-up tasks. The role also includes providing general technical and operational support, such as routine data quality checks, updating documentation, preparing basic data outputs, and offering miscellaneous technical assistance to the Quality of Life Initiative team.
Work Experience

Experience in data cleaning, processing, and analysis is required. Familiarity with GIS shapefiles, spatial datasets, or GIS software is desirable.
