Job Purpose
The Cash for Work Project Associate plays a crucial role in supporting the implementation and management of UNRWA's Cash for Work projects. This position is responsible for addressing project-related issues, managing queries, and developing essential project documentation such as standard operating procedures and best practices. A key aspect of the role involves leading the creation and execution of a communication plan to effectively disseminate project information and organize related events. The associate will also maintain project databases, ensure quality assurance, and monitor project progress against scope, budget, and timeline. By coordinating closely with field staff and project officers, the associate ensures activities meet quality standards and legal requirements, contributing to the overall success and impact of the Cash for Work initiatives for Palestine refugees.
Responsibilities
The Cash for Work Project Associate is responsible for managing project-related complaints and issues, coordinating with field staff and the project team, and compiling relevant reports. This includes preparing responses to project queries and developing key project documents such as standard operating procedures, eligibility criteria, guidance notes, and documenting best practices and lessons learned. The role involves leading the development and implementation of a project communication plan, including creating and distributing communication materials and organizing events in coordination with the UNRWA Public Information team. Additionally, the associate will organize and maintain project databases, conduct quality assurance checks, and ensure all project activities and deliverables meet required quality standards and adhere to legal agreements. The position requires tracking project progress, assessing performance against scope, budget, and timeline, and promptly reporting issues with recommended corrective actions to Project Officers.
Work Experience
A minimum of two years of relevant experience is required in areas like project management support, project coordination, monitoring and evaluation, stakeholder engagement, community involvement, communications, and reporting. Experience with a UN agency or non-governmental organization is preferred.
