The United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), part of the UN Secretariat, seeks an International Consultant for Risk Profiling and Targeting. This role focuses on developing and delivering specialized training to enhance border management and law enforcement capabilities in combating illicit activities.
Job Purpose
The primary purpose of this consultancy is to develop comprehensive technical training content and deliver practical training exercises on Radiation and Nuclear (R/N) Risk Profiling and Targeting. The expert will contribute to strengthening the capacity of law enforcement officers in Malaysia and Indonesia to identify, prevent, and respond to R/N threats. This involves creating training modules, facilitating sessions, and producing post-training reports to ensure effective knowledge transfer and operational improvement in border security and risk management.
Responsibilities
Develop comprehensive technical training content for R/N Risk Profiling and Targeting, including modules, presentations, exercises, and case studies. Deliver and support R/N Risk Profiling and Targeting training exercises in Malaysia and Indonesia, providing technical guidance and facilitating practical sessions. Submit detailed post-training reports for each exercise, summarizing activities, participant engagement, key findings, recommendations, and lessons learned. Provide technical input for training slide decks, assessments, and other materials covering awareness, identification, prevention, and response strategies related to R/N threats.
Work Experience
A minimum of 10 years of relevant border management and law enforcement experience is required. Experience in international training, particularly with law enforcement officers, is essential. Proven experience in the use and deployment of risk profiling and targeting equipment is necessary. Experience with UN or international organizations is desirable.
