Job Purpose
This internship aims to provide practical experience in media market research and strategy within the UN Department of Global Communications. The intern will support the Partnerships Unit by researching and identifying potential clients for UN media licensing, exploring strategic partnerships to expand campaign reach, and developing innovative digital marketing and distribution methods. The role involves analyzing audience data, integrating AI tools for media analysis, and contributing to promotional materials and event organization, ultimately amplifying UN messages and informing strategic decisions.
Responsibilities
Research and identify potential clients for UN media licensing and promotional campaigns. Explore and develop strategic partnerships to enhance the reach of UN media and communication initiatives. Identify, propose, and develop new digital marketing, promotion, and distribution tools and methods. Suggest ways to package existing UN media content to amplify UN messages. Integrate artificial intelligence into daily workflows for media analysis, content syndication, and marketing. Utilize data analytics to understand client usage of UN media content and provide recommendations. Conduct research and analyze information from diverse sources on assigned topics. Draft correspondence and promotional materials. Assist in organizing special events and the team's presence at media markets.
Work Experience
No professional work experience is required for this internship. However, a field of study closely related to media market research and strategy is necessary. Familiarity with data visualization, market analytics tools, primary research methodologies, and digital content strategy is desirable.
Skills
Computer literacy in standard software applications. Proficiency in online and offline research tools. Demonstrated interest in the UN's work and commitment to its Charter. Ability to interact effectively with diverse cultural backgrounds. Proficiency in generative AI and advanced prompt engineering is desirable.
