Organizational Context

Job Purpose

This internship aims to support the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) in its mission to protect and promote human rights worldwide. The intern will contribute to the Staff Development Unit's efforts in enhancing organizational learning, developing staff capacities, fostering career growth, and facilitating knowledge sharing. The role is designed to assist in implementing UN learning and human resources priorities, providing valuable experience in human rights and staff development within an international organization. The intern's daily tasks will be tailored to their background and the Unit's needs, offering a dynamic and supportive learning environment.

Responsibilities

Assist in the planning, preparation, coordination, and logistical arrangements for training courses, workshops, seminars, and webinars. Support the development, editing, and formatting of training materials, reports, and communications. Contribute to e-learning and blended-learning initiatives. Aid in conducting learning needs assessments and evaluating training activities. Conduct research on staff development trends and best practices. Coordinate with internal and external learning partners. Undertake other related tasks as assigned by the Head of the Staff Development Unit.
