Local Consultant on anti-corruption education for primary land secondary level education
Organizational Context
The United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) is responsible for implementing the UN Convention against Corruption (UNCAC). UNODC has extensive experience in technical assistance and developing tools to combat corruption. The GRACE Initiative promotes education and youth empowerment in preventing corruption, fostering a culture of rejection of corruption globally.
Job Purpose
This role supports UNODC's GRACE initiative by revising and updating educational tools for primary, secondary, and non-formal education to strengthen anti-corruption content. The consultant will deliver training sessions for UNODC staff on pedagogical approaches and child-centered methods for corruption prevention. Additionally, the role involves conducting Training of Trainers (ToT) workshops for educators and stakeholders in Togo, aiming to equip them with tools and methodologies to foster integrity and ethical values from an early age.
Responsibilities
Revise and update existing GRACE educational tools, including primary lesson plans and training manuals, to enhance their anti-corruption focus. Harmonize secondary and non-formal education training manuals to improve pedagogical aspects. Deliver two virtual training sessions for UNODC staff on child-centered pedagogical approaches and behavior change methodologies for corruption prevention. Prepare and conduct a basic and a Training of Trainers (ToT) workshop for secondary educators and relevant stakeholders in Togo, focusing on child-centered pedagogy and UNODC's educational tools. Facilitate a debriefing with national counterparts and prepare a follow-up training report.
Work Experience
A minimum of seven years of progressive experience in primary, secondary, or non-formal education, including teaching, student support, or management. Experience in developing educational materials for these levels is required. Experience in teaching civic education, anti-corruption, integrity, or ethics is also required.
