The United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) coordinates global environmental policy. Its Industry and Economy Division supports sustainable policies. The Partnership for Action on Green Economy (PAGE), an interagency initiative, aims to reframe economic policies for sustainability. This consultancy sits within the Economic and Fiscal Policy Unit (EFPU) to enhance knowledge management and communication for PAGE initiatives.
Job Purpose
This consultancy aims to strengthen the visibility, coherence, and effectiveness of PAGE communication products, contributing to the dissemination of knowledge and good practices related to green economy and ecological transformation. The role will produce professionally designed and editorially produced publications and visual communication materials. These materials will ensure technical quality, visual consistency, accessibility, and alignment with institutional guidelines. The ultimate goal is to enhance the dissemination of knowledge and good practices, supporting sustainable economic development and ecological transformation initiatives globally.
Responsibilities
Develop and/or adapt graphic design concepts for institutional publications and communication materials, ensuring alignment with PAGE and UNEP institutional identity. Define and apply editorial grids, typography, color palettes, visual hierarchy, and graphic standards. Create or adapt visual elements, including illustrations, charts, tables, and infographics. Prepare proposed designs for review and incorporate feedback. Execute editorial production and layout design for various communication materials, including reports and policy briefs. Organize and format textual and visual content for readability, consistency, and accessibility. Prepare final print-ready and digital dissemination files. Provide graphic production support and technical coordination for printing and dissemination requirements.
Work Experience
Requires at least three years of professional experience in graphic design, editorial production, or visual communication. Demonstrated experience in designing institutional publications and communication materials for international organizations or public institutions is essential. Experience with long-form publications and complex technical content is desirable.
