Organizational Context

The United Nations Joint Staff Pension Fund (UNJSPF) Office of Investment Management (OIM) in New York manages a global investment portfolio of approximately $100+ billion. The Business Continuity Management Team, within OIM, is responsible for fund-wide business continuity operations. This internship is situated within this team, reporting to the Information Systems Officer.

Job Purpose

This internship offers a valuable learning opportunity within the UNJSPF Office of Investment Management's Business Continuity Management Team. The intern will support fund-wide business continuity operations by consolidating risk registers, corrective actions, and plans. A key aspect of the role involves coordinating business continuity tests and training, aligning with the ISO/IEC 22301 framework. The position provides practical exposure to Business Impact Analysis (BIA) activities, testing exercises, coordination processes, and other related business continuity tasks, contributing to the team's operational effectiveness.

Responsibilities

Support the Business Continuity function by consolidating risk registers, corrective actions, and plans. Coordinate business continuity tests and training activities in alignment with the ISO/IEC 22301 framework. Gain practical experience through involvement in Business Impact Analysis (BIA) activities, testing exercises, and coordination processes. Assist in the overall management of Business Continuity Operations fund-wide. Report to the Information Systems Officer on progress and findings related to business continuity initiatives.

Work Experience

Applicants to the UN Internship Programme are not required to have professional work experience. However, a field of study closely related to the internship is necessary. Practical exposure to business continuity activities will be gained during the internship.
