The role involves supporting the identification and establishment of financial mechanisms for mitigation actions that also enhance productivity and food security. Additionally, the specialist will prepare technical documents and training materials, organize workshops and events, and support the agriculture component of Brazil's Clean Air and Climate Plan. Synergies across agriculture, climate, and food security initiatives will be promoted, and participation in national and international meetings to present progress will be required. Technical support for reviewing CCAC project documents and facilitating Brazil's engagement in CCAC initiatives, including the Agriculture Hub, is also a core duty.
Work Experience
A minimum of seven years of professional experience in climate change and sustainable agriculture (crops, livestock, fisheries, forestry) is required. Demonstrated experience in report writing, data analysis, and providing technical advice to high-level stakeholders in the agriculture sector is necessary. Experience with development communication, capacity-building methods, and knowledge of Brazil's national policies on agriculture and climate change are also required.
