Job Purpose
This consultancy aims to support the operational and technical consolidation of the FIDUS Project, which focuses on strengthening local and provincial capacities for sustainable urban development in Sierra Grande, Argentina. The Senior Urban Planning Analyst will contribute to the incubation, prioritization, and structuring of urban development initiatives through collaborative governance and innovative financing. The role is crucial for ensuring the project's visibility, stakeholder engagement, and knowledge dissemination, ultimately supporting sustainable territorial transformation and the development of long-term social, environmental, and economic benefits for the region.
Responsibilities
The Senior Urban Planning Analyst will be responsible for providing monthly management activity reports and other required reports. Key duties include leading the development and updating of the project work plan, coordinating project implementation activities, and supporting the identification and prioritization of strategic urban initiatives. The role involves conducting territorial analysis, facilitating participatory planning processes, and coordinating local institutional engagement. Additionally, the analyst will provide technical advice on urban planning and territorial development, support technical discussions with authorities, contribute to policy recommendations, and assist in developing project concepts and strategies. The consultant will also support partnership-building efforts, enhance resource mobilization, and contribute to knowledge dissemination and the systematization of lessons learned.
Work Experience
A minimum of ten years of progressive experience in urban planning, territorial development, local governance, infrastructure planning, or project management is required. Experience in designing, implementing, and coordinating urban or sustainable development initiatives, including strategic plans and diagnostics, is essential. Proven experience working with local governments, international organizations, and multi-stakeholder partnerships is also required.
