Consultant Expert in cybercrime training and curriculum development
Organizational Context
The United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) seeks a consultant to support its Global Programme on Cybercrime. This role will be home-based with travel to Costa Rica and Panama, contributing to the development and delivery of specialized training and resources in cybercrime investigation and digital forensics.
Job Purpose
The purpose of this consultancy is to design and deliver comprehensive training programs and develop essential resources related to cybercrime investigation and digital forensics. The consultant will conduct simulated trial workshops, training sessions on cyberattacks, malware, dark web, AI in investigations, and the presentation of forensic evidence. Additionally, the role involves revising technical guidelines and creating study programs, guides for participants, and instruction guides for trainers, ultimately enhancing the capacity of law enforcement and justice officials in Central America to combat cybercrime effectively.
Responsibilities
Design and deliver in-person workshops on simulated trials for online child sexual exploitation and scams. Conduct training sessions on cyberattacks, malware, dark web, AI in criminal investigations, and presenting forensic results in court. Update technical guidelines on digital evidence for Panama. Develop study programs on cybercrime for investigators, prosecutors, and judges. Create participant study guides and trainer instruction guides for each program. Ensure all developed materials align with international standards and best practices, and are tailored to the specific needs of the target countries.
Work Experience
A minimum of five years of relevant experience is required in implementing training programs for law enforcement and justice officers in digital forensics and cybercrime investigation. Experience in curriculum development and workshop facilitation is essential.
