Job Purpose

The primary objective is to provide high-quality passenger support and customer service, maintain accurate operational records, and contribute to the overall efficiency and security of movement control operations at the airport. The assistant will also be responsible for resolving issues, supporting emergency situations, and ensuring all documentation is verified and processed correctly.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include verifying travel documents such as passports, visas, and manifests for validity and authenticity, and ensuring traveler compliance with entry requirements. The role involves close collaboration with immigration and customs officials to streamline passenger processing and effective communication to ensure smooth operations. Addressing and resolving discrepancies or delays during the immigration process, and providing support during emergencies are critical. The assistant will maintain accurate records of passenger interactions and processing, perform check-in procedures for passengers and luggage, and utilize systems for scanning documents and tracking movements. Additionally, the role includes assisting passengers and staff in the terminal, providing customer service, and potentially supervising aircraft loaders or contractors. Compiling and submitting passenger and cargo manifests for verification is also a core duty.
Work Experience
A minimum of three years of progressive experience in movement control, transport, travel, logistics, or administration is required. This experience requirement is reduced to one year for candidates holding a first-level university degree. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access) is mandatory. Experience with UN/NGO or other international bodies is desirable.
