Human Resources Officer (Talent Sourcing and Outreach)
Organizational Context
The Office of Investment Management (OIM) manages over $110 billion in assets for the United Nations Joint Staff Pension Fund (UNJSPF). OIM actively manages a diverse global portfolio across various asset classes in-house. This role is within the Business Support Section, providing administrative support to OIM and UNJSPF-PA, reporting to the HR Team Lead.
Job Purpose
The Human Resources Officer (Talent Sourcing and Outreach) is responsible for developing and implementing strategies to attract diverse talent to UNJSPF positions. This includes creating and executing outreach programs, marketing initiatives, and events to build a robust talent pipeline. The role involves managing social media recruitment content, advising hiring managers on job descriptions, and analyzing recruitment data to inform strategy and improve efficiency. The officer will also contribute to monitoring outreach impact and supporting staff development projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and best practices in talent acquisition.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement recruitment branding and advertising strategies to attract talent. Design and execute outreach programs, including marketing materials and events, to promote UN diversity and gender goals and build a talent pipeline. Create and manage social media recruitment content, in consultation with HR leads. Research industry trends and best practices in talent acquisition to enhance recruitment processes. Advise hiring managers on creating unbiased job descriptions and enriching applicant pools. Monitor and report on outreach strategy effectiveness, using data visualization for insights and decision-making. Support staff development projects and perform other required duties.
Work Experience
A minimum of five years of progressive experience in human resources management, talent sourcing, and acquisition within an international setting is required. Five years of experience with the UN Common System recruitment process, including Inspira, is mandatory. One year of experience using LinkedIn Recruiter for active sourcing is also required. Experience with data visualization tools and in an investment/finance/pension fund environment is desirable.
