Job Purpose
This role will develop a Sectoral Guidance paper on clean Non-Road Machinery and Stationary Engines, providing practical recommendations for program design and implementation. The expert will identify successful initiatives for replication and scale-up, contributing to the CCAC's mission of improving air quality and reducing climate impact. The work supports the Air Quality Management Exchange Platform (AQMx), an online resource for air quality managers globally, particularly in low- and middle-income countries, aiming to help them meet WHO Air Quality Guidelines.
Responsibilities
Develop a comprehensive Sectoral Guidance paper (approx. 8,000 words) on clean Non-Road Machinery and Stationary Engines, offering concrete recommendations for program design and implementation. Identify and compile at least 30 supporting resources (reports, publications, databases, tools) for the AQMx Resource Exchange Library. Conduct consultations with relevant stakeholders to ensure accuracy and relevance. Prepare a PowerPoint presentation and key messages to support the launch of the guidance. The role involves analyzing impacts, outlining data needs, detailing implementation steps, investigating business models, and highlighting successful case studies, with a focus on solutions for low- and middle-income countries.
Work Experience
Requires a minimum of 5 years of professional/scientific experience related to Non-Road Vehicles and Stationary Engines. This includes experience in research, practical implementation, or understanding of clean engine programs, ideally in collaboration with governments. Demonstrated experience with business models and report preparation in this sector is also necessary.
