Responsibilities
The primary responsibility is to draft an 8,000-word Sectoral Guidance paper on improved nitrogen fertiliser use. This includes providing concrete, actionable recommendations for designing, implementing, enforcing, monitoring, and evaluating fertiliser use programs. The expert will investigate relevant business models and financing options, consider socio-economic equity and inclusion, and highlight successful case studies. Additionally, the role involves identifying a minimum of 30 relevant resources for the AQMx library, conducting stakeholder consultations, and preparing presentation materials for the guidance's launch. The work supports the CCAC's goals of strengthening air quality management capacity globally.
Work Experience
A minimum of 5 years of professional/scientific experience in sustainable agriculture and nitrogen fertiliser use is required. This includes at least 5 years of experience in research, practical implementation, or understanding of improved nitrogen fertiliser use in projects or with governments. Demonstrated experience with business models, report preparation, and presentations is also necessary. Experience in developing countries is desirable.
