The Assistant Administrative Officer is responsible for comprehensive human resources management, including recruitment, placement, promotions, performance appraisals, and staff training, ensuring compliance with UN regulations. In budget and finance, the role involves assisting in work program and budget development, monitoring expenditures using Umoja, supporting financial database systems, and tracking entitlements and payments. General administration duties encompass managing operational travel, visa applications, vendor payments, and physical space planning. The position also requires coordination with OHCHR Headquarters on various administrative matters, oversight of office premises, and ensuring the maintenance and enhancement of office technology and systems.
Work Experience
A minimum of two years of progressive experience in administration, finance, accounting, or human resources management is required. An advanced degree may waive this requirement. Experience with ERP systems like Umoja and Inspira, international organizations, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Acrobat is desirable.
