Job Purpose

The intern will gain practical exposure to architectural and facilities management tasks, supporting the Senior Facilities Management Assistant. This position is designed to provide hands-on experience in a professional UN environment, allowing the intern to develop technical and administrative skills while understanding the UN's operational framework.
Responsibilities
Assist with architectural design drawings, sketches, and basic project completion. Discuss project requirements and collaborate with the project team. Organize project files and materials. Conduct site visits to monitor project progress and ensure adherence to plans. Prepare project-related documents, including contracts, reports, CAD drawings, and diagrams. Generate design development ideas and research relevant building codes and standards. Develop 3D conceptual designs, prepare design mock-ups, and color boards. Research building materials, lighting fixtures, and other products, and order samples. Perform basic calculations for projects. Conduct research for the project team and revise drawings as needed. Attend project staff meetings and perform administrative and analytical tasks.
