Job Purpose
The Communications Intern will support the Office of the Special Coordinator on Improving the United Nations Response to Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (OSCSEA) in its mission to strengthen the UN's response to sexual exploitation and abuse. This role contributes to the office's communication efforts by conducting research, assisting with internal and external communications, and supporting the creation of multimedia content. The intern will help draft and update communication materials, playing a key part in disseminating information and enhancing the UN's outreach on this critical issue. The position is intended to provide valuable learning experience within a vital UN initiative, contributing to the organization's global efforts.
Responsibilities
Conduct research on issues related to the prevention of sexual exploitation and abuse, including media monitoring, data collection, and analysis. Support the implementation of internal and external communications strategies. Assist in the production of multimedia content, such as photos, videos, and social media graphics and copy. Help draft, update, and maintain various presentations and other communication materials. Undertake other assigned responsibilities as required to support the office's communication objectives and broader mandate.
