Job Purpose
The Graphic Design Consultant will provide on-demand design, layout, and content enhancement services for the UNEP Plastics Unit. This role is crucial for ensuring that technical outputs, reports, policy briefs, and event materials are visually appealing, clear, accurate, and consistent with UNEP's corporate identity and publishing standards. The consultant will create engaging digital and knowledge assets, optimize content for various platforms, and support programme delivery through high-quality visual products. The aim is to enhance the clarity, accessibility, and impact of UNEP's work on tackling plastic pollution and promoting a circular economy.
Responsibilities
Design, format, and produce visual resources including reports, policy briefs, technical documents, and publications, ensuring quality, readability, and adherence to UNEP's branding. Develop information design, data visualizations, and digital assets for web and social media to disseminate programme information effectively. Prepare and refine presentation decks and slide templates for meetings and briefings. Create event materials such as roll-ups, backdrops, agendas, and digital displays, maintaining consistent visual identity across all outputs. Enhance clarity and accessibility of existing project materials through layout and design structure.
Work Experience
A minimum of 5 years of experience in graphic design, publication layout, and visual content production is required. Proven experience applying organizational brand guidelines on publications and visual materials is essential. Experience with Adobe Creative Suite software (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop) is also necessary.
