Organizational Context
The International Trade Centre (ITC) is a joint agency of the WTO and UN focused on trade-related technical assistance for developing countries. The Division of Programme Support (DPS) provides essential HR, financial, IT, and common support services, enabling substantive divisions to fulfill the organization's mandate and deliver programs effectively.
Job Purpose
This internship within the Office of the Director, Division of Programme Support (DPS) at the International Trade Centre (ITC) in Geneva aims to provide administrative and data analysis support. The intern will assist in maintaining records, monitoring policy implementation, and contributing to reports and presentations. This role offers practical experience in supporting organizational operations and enhancing international competitiveness for developing economies, aligning with ITC's core mission. The intern will gain exposure to UN procedures and contribute to the efficiency of support services.
Responsibilities
Maintain and manage filing systems, databases, and records in compliance with UN procedures. Assist in monitoring the implementation of Division of Programme Support (DPS) policies, guidelines, and standard operating procedures. Contribute to the development of reports and other deliverables. Prepare briefing materials and presentations using MS Word and PowerPoint. Compile and analyze data for reports, presentations, and internal briefings, and assist in producing related analysis. Support the preparation and organization of meetings, workshops, and other sessions. Assist in updating and maintaining intranet/webpages, shared platforms, and communication tools. Support knowledge-sharing initiatives, including drafting content for newsletters or internal communications.
Work Experience
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite is required. Desirable experience includes developing reports, statistics, and analytics, particularly using visuals. Computer literacy is essential. Consultancy or business analysis experience is an advantage.

Data analysis, report development, statistics, presentation preparation (MS Word, PowerPoint), database management, record keeping, communication (written and oral), analytical skills, computer literacy, knowledge of Microsoft Office.
