Organizational Context
The United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) seeks an individual contractor to support training simulations on Trafficking in Persons (TIP) and Money Laundering. This role involves preparing and performing scripted and semi-scripted roles, contributing to realistic training exercises designed to enhance participant learning and application of technical knowledge.
Job Purpose
The purpose of this role is to contribute to the effectiveness of UNODC's training programs on Trafficking in Persons and Money Laundering by providing realistic simulation exercises. The individual contractor will develop and perform roles within these simulations, ensuring they are consistent with learning objectives and facilitator guidance. This role directly supports experiential learning, allowing participants to practice and apply their knowledge in a controlled environment. The contractor will also document training sessions, contributing to the overall evaluation and success of the project across multiple countries, thereby enhancing the capacity of relevant stakeholders in combating these crimes.
Responsibilities
Develop and refine training scripts, character profiles, and realistic simulation scenarios aligned with TIP and money laundering objectives. Create detailed character backgrounds, motivations, and behavioral patterns for exercises. Participate in preparatory meetings to review country-specific objectives, clarify roles, and coordinate with facilitators and subject matter experts. Perform assigned roles during simulation exercises, ensuring realistic, consistent, and adaptable portrayals that support learning objectives. Document participation in training sessions, capturing theoretical and practical components and results achieved in beneficiary countries.
Work Experience
A minimum of three years of acting experience in theater, film, television, or applied performance settings is required. Demonstrated experience in role-play or simulation exercises for training, capacity-building, or educational purposes is essential. Experience developing scripts and creating realistic character profiles is desirable.
