Workplace Mental Health and Wellbeing Project Consultant
Organizational Context
The UN Secretariat's Department of Management Strategy, Policy and Compliance, Office of Human Resources, is implementing the UN System Workplace Mental Health and Well-being Strategy for 2024 and beyond. This strategy, governed by an inter-agency Implementation Board, aims to scale best practices and improve mental health indicators across UN organizations through various working groups.
Job Purpose
This consultancy supports the implementation of the UN System Workplace Mental Health and Well-being Strategy. The primary purpose is to assist the Mental Health and Safety (MHS) Working Group on Psychosocial Risk Management in developing and implementing a tool for scorecard indicator 1. Additionally, the consultant will support the development, review, and implementation of products for scorecard indicators 2-12. This role is crucial for advancing UN organizations' progress on mental health and well-being initiatives by facilitating the collation of materials, providing guidance, and scaling best practices across the system.
Responsibilities
The consultant will review and monitor progress on actions within the UN System Mental Health and Wellbeing Strategy, actively participating in Implementation Board and Working Group meetings, and ensuring follow-up on agreed actions. A key responsibility is supporting MHS Working Groups, particularly the Psychosocial Risk Management group, by collaborating on tool development and gathering relevant research and policy documents. The role involves developing and maintaining project plans, managing deadlines, and preparing draft reports and deliverables for various UN bodies. Furthermore, the consultant will conduct data analysis to track scorecard indicator progress and develop visualizations to support decision-making.
Work Experience
A minimum of five years of progressive experience in project or program management within organizational behavior, public health, or workplace health is required. Experience coordinating multi-agency projects, preferably within the UN system, and drafting technical reports for diverse audiences is also necessary.
